Initial Investigation concluded:
 | Corrosion problem was associated with
sagging of the current inhibitor in the coils allowing almost dry strip at the
top. |
| Corrosion inhibitor also dripped on the
floor creating a major slip hazard. |
Recommendation:
| Use a specially developed slightly
thixotropic rust preventative. |
| Toll manufacturing of this rust
preventive was sourced for the customer from an ISO9001 supplier. |
Results:
| Significant improvement in corrosion
inhibition performance. |
| Almost total reduction in dripping off
strip so less slip hazard. |
| No increase in cost of process. |
